This scholarship was funded to honor the legacy of Doyle W. Smith by providing scholarships for graduating Harper High School students who are majoring in an agricultural field.

Eligibility
Applicant must be a current graduating student from Harper High School who has attended for at least one year. Applicant must be planning to major in an agricultural field of study. Applicant must write a short one paragraph essay explaining what they plan to do with their degree in agriculture.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on personal achievement, financial need, and content of short essay submitted. Recipient must be accepted as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, or trade school prior to award decisions. The scholarship is null and void if not accepted within one year of award date.
