This memorial scholarship was funded to honor Lerlene Hamilton Oehler, a gifted teacher, and her husband Carl Oehler, who was a successful rancher and civic leader. Together they shared a deep respect for the power of education.

Applicant must be a current graduating student from Harper High School. Applicant must be in top quartile of their graduating class. Applicants can reapply for 3 consecutive years, given they maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. A letter outlining continued need and qualification, as well as a transcript from the prior year are required.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on academic and extracurricular achievement, as well as financial need. Recipient must be accepted full-time into an accredited college or university, public or private, before award decisions. The scholarship award is null and void if not accepted within one year of award date.
